Asian Paradise Flycatcher

Asian Paradise Flycatcher

The Sinhagad Valley Project

This Sunday’s trip turned out to be awesome.

As expected, a bunch of bird lovers and photographers were already in position even though we reached by 6.30am.

Most were from Pune. Though I did run into Sudhir Shivaram from Bengaluru – winner of this year’s Sanctuary Photography contest.

Since all the ‘spots’ were occupied, I settled down in one corner in front of what looked like a potential stop for the birds.

The Asian Paradise Flycatcher didn’t disappoint.

Rather she over-delivered 🙂

This one decided to take a bath a few feet from me and gave me a whole set of shots.

All nice and wet.

Here’s one from the series.

This is a female shaking the droplets off, post a dip in the water.

Enjoy 🙂
