Oriental White Eye

Oriental White Eye

The Sinhagad Valley Project

After shooting the Oriental White Eye in Munnar, I thought this was it. You can’t get them so near and fearless.

But the January trip to Sinhagad proved me wrong.

Although the area is poorly lit and marred by branches, the birds turned out to be very friendly.

They step down from the branches to drink water.

And they come in groups of five or six.

I did think the Sinhagad White Eyes were a little different from the Munnar ones.

Or maybe it was the light that did it.

While getting good shots is tough, it’s not impossible.

Here, one shot from the series. Enjoy 🙂
